THE Cornish LOCAL is seeking an experienced, confident and proactive salesperson to join our growing team in a new permanent position, initially offered on a one-year contract.

The role involves working with local businesses across Cornwall, presenting advertising opportunities across our publications, which reach over 360,000 homes, alongside our digital and county-wide magazine platforms.

This is a proactive, telephone-based sales role. We provide established products, targeted prospects, sales strategies, training and support, but we need someone who enjoys picking up the phone, creating opportunities, following prospects through and closing business.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who is organised, resilient and self-motivated. You should be comfortable managing your own workload, following established sales processes and working towards clear activity and sales targets without needing continual supervision.

We expect a lot from our team, but we also look after and invest in our people. We offer six weeks’ annual leave, planned closures over Christmas and during the final week of August, and at least three external training and development opportunities each year.

Alongside a basic salary, we offer a strong cumulative commission structure and additional performance bonuses. These are earned through achieving agreed sales targets, providing excellent earning potential for someone who performs consistently.

THE Cornish LOCAL is expanding and we are looking for a part-time freelance Artwork Designer to join our team.

The role involves creating and updating adverts for local businesses, preparing leaflet and magazine layouts for print, and supporting digital design including website updates and social media graphics.

Applicants should be confident using the Adobe Creative Suite, comfortable working with WordPress, and have strong attention to detail when preparing artwork for print.

The position is office based in Mid Cornwall, starting at approximately two days per week.

THE Cornish LOCAL is looking for an organised and reliable Admin Assistant to join our team.

This is an important role helping to keep the office running smoothly, supporting both our team and the businesses we work with. We are looking for someone who takes pride in being organised, pays attention to detail, and enjoys helping things stay on track behind the scenes.

Typical duties will include managing schedules, completing administrative paperwork, maintaining contact with clients, taking clear notes and follow-ups, and helping ensure the day-to-day running of the office stays organised and efficient.

We are looking for someone proactive and dependable who enjoys being part of a small, positive team environment.
