Sales Role – Maternity Cover (Potential Ongoing Opportunity)

THE Cornish LOCAL is seeking an experienced and confident salesperson to join our team on a maternity cover basis, with the possibility of a longer-term role for the right individual.

The role involves working with local businesses across Cornwall, presenting advertising opportunities within our publications, which reach over 360,000 homes across the county, alongside our growing digital and magazine platforms.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable speaking with business owners, understands the fundamentals of selling advertising or marketing services, and is confident building professional relationships with clients. A strong work ethic, organisation and the ability to communicate clearly are essential.

The position will begin in the coming months, becoming full-time from July to cover maternity leave. For someone who performs well and fits the team, there may be an opportunity to continue with the business beyond this period.

Artwork Designer Opportunity

THE Cornish LOCAL is expanding and we are looking for a part-time freelance Artwork Designer to join our team.

The role involves creating and updating adverts for local businesses, preparing leaflet and magazine layouts for print, and supporting digital design including website updates and social media graphics.

Applicants should be confident using the Adobe Creative Suite, comfortable working with WordPress, and have strong attention to detail when preparing artwork for print.

The position is office based in Mid Cornwall, starting at approximately two days per week.

Admin Opportunity

THE Cornish LOCAL is looking for an organised and reliable Admin Assistant to join our team.

This is an important role helping to keep the office running smoothly, supporting both our team and the businesses we work with. We are looking for someone who takes pride in being organised, pays attention to detail, and enjoys helping things stay on track behind the scenes.

Typical duties will include managing schedules, completing administrative paperwork, maintaining contact with clients, taking clear notes and follow-ups, and helping ensure the day-to-day running of the office stays organised and efficient.

We are looking for someone proactive and dependable who enjoys being part of a small, positive team environment.

Full-time position. Training provided. Start date flexible.
